Club Chalamet Fan Account Creator Says She Lost Home in L.A. Fires

admin January 10, 2025 2 min read

The creator of the Timothée Chalamet fan account, Club Chalamet, who goes by Simone, says she has lost her home in the Los Angeles wildfires, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

“I lost my home in Altadena, but I am safe with friends,” Simone told THR on Thursday.

Simone is one of thousands who lost their homes due to the multiple fires raging throughout the Los Angeles area, including the Eaton fire, which is afffecting the Altadena area.

A fire in the Pacific Palisades broke out on Tuesday and, since then, flames have continued to spread through the Los Angeles area, with one fire in the Hollywood Hills, now under control, breaking out Wednesday night and threatening the iconic Hollywood Bowl.  The blazes have left at least five people dead.

Club Chalamet is an active fan account on X and Instagram managed by Simone. The account frequently shares news, memes and photos in support of the Complete Unknown star’s career. Club Chalamet has garnered attention within the fan community due to Simone’s vehement loyalty to the actor, including her attendance at the L.A. premiere of Wonka, where Chalamet personally greeted her.

Days before the L.A. wildfires broke out, the creator championed the A Complete Unknown actor ahead of his forthcoming attendance at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards which were postponed due to the fires.

More than 4,000 structures have been destroyed in the Eaton Fire, with thousands more burned in the Pacific Palisades community, fire officials said Thursday.

Dutch Merrick, a veteran Hollywood prop master and armorer, attempted to save his home amid the Eaton fire on Tuesday night before he had to flee Wednesday morning. Still reeling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the actors and writers strikes in 2023 and the impact of said strikes, Merrick was devastated by the disaster that likely destroyed his home. “I keep reinventing myself. And this just kicked me right in the gut,” he said.

Many Hollywood stars lost their homes due to the harrowing wildfires, including Mandy Moore, Anna Faris, Paris Hilton, Bozoma Saint John, Billy Crystal, James Woods and Diane Warren, among others.
