The DunKing is back — and he’s brought some new recruits.

The world’s most famous Dunkin’ aficionado, Ben Affleck, stars in a new commercial that dropped during Sunday night’s Grammy Awards. It features the Oscar winning multi-hyphenate back in his orange and pink Dunkin’ track suit, but this time he’s teaming up with his younger brother, Casey Affleck. The two track down Jeremy Strong in his dressing room only to find the Succession alum deep in his method acting ways.

The spot opens to find Ben knocking on Strong’s door as Casey declares, “Jeremy is a method actor. He’s not coming out until he’s ready.” Ben seems confused and asks his brother to explain what that means as he admits he never studied any books. “Look where I’m at,” he says, proudly, to Casey, who is wearing a fuzzy pink bucket hat and orange-tinted sunglasses. “We’re big time now.”

Ben then opens Strong’s dressing room door to find him appearing from inside an oversized Dunkin’ coffee can and covered in a thick, coffee colored glaze with chunks of beans covering his face and body. “What are you doing in there?” Ben asks.

Strong pops his head out of a coffee can.

Strong replies, “We’re doing a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial, right? I’m just trying to find the character. I think I found a way in. You’re from Boston, I’m from Boston. Dunkin’ is Boston. Boston is Paul Revere. One if by land, two if by sea. Red coats are coming.”

In a thick Boston accent, Ben says, “You’re an artist, and I know what that’s like. But how long is it gonna take for the being method?” Three hours, Strong admits. Just then — as a flash of text advertises the date of next Sunday’s Super Bowl with a tagline “Suit up, America” — Casey jokes, “Shoulda paid for Matt,” as in Damon who starred opposite Ben and Tom Brady in the brand’s star-studded Super Bowl ad last year. That one also featured Ben’s now ex-wife Jennifer Lopez as he and the guys performed a pop song, “Don’t Dunk Away at My Heart,” in a production from Ben and Matt’s Artists Equity.

The latest commercial in what is being dubbed the “Dunkin’ Cinematic Universe” considering the pedigree of its stars, also marks another partnership with Artists Equity, which serves as the brand’s creative agency and production company for the campaign.
