Amy Landecker has signed with Gersh to be represented by the Hollywood talent agency in all areas.
Landecker is also branching out as a writer and producer, having recently penned, directed and starred in the film For Worse. The romantic comedy about a newly divorced, sober mother who joins an acting class and has an affair with a hot young actor premiered at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival in the narrative spotlight sidebar.
For Worse also stars Bradley Whitford, Nico Hiraga, Gaby Hoffmann, Ken Marino, Missi Pyle, Kiersey Clemons, Claudia Sulewski, Simon Helberg and Liv Hewson. The Hollywood Reporter film critic Angie Han in her SXSW review said of Landecker’s debut feature: “Say this for For Worse: Of all the older woman/younger man pairings we’ve seen lately, few have been as candid as this one about the unglamorous realities of postmenopausal bodies.”
Landecker is best known for her role as Sarah Pfefferman in the hit Amazon series Transparent, where she appeared opposite Jeffrey Tambor, Kathryn Hahn and Bradley Whitford. Her performance in the series earned her a SAG nomination, and Transparent won the GLAAD Media Award for outstanding comedy series for three years running.
Landecker’s other credits include the Coen Brothers’ A Serious Man, Dan In Real Life, where she appeared opposite Steve Carell, All Is Bright, the SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner Shithouse, DreamWorks’ Croods, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale and Showtime’s Your Honor.
